About AnyPaste

Why this exists

AnyPaste started as a personal annoyance. Copying something on a phone and needing it on a computer is one of the most ordinary things anyone does with a computer, and in 2026 it still mostly doesn't work - unless every device you own comes from the same manufacturer, or you're willing to send your clipboard through someone else's server and pay monthly for the privilege.

None of that seemed necessary. Two devices on the same Wi-Fi can just talk to each other. So we built the thing that does that, for iPhone, Mac, Windows and Android, and gave it away.

What it is

AnyPaste is a clipboard manager first and a sync tool second. It keeps a searchable history of everything you copy - text, links, images, files, rich text, HTML and colors - with tags, favorites, filters and cleanup rules. Then it mirrors that history across the devices you pair, directly over your local network, end-to-end encrypted.

There is no server, no account, and no telemetry. Not as a setting you can turn on, but as a fact about how the software is built.

Open source

AnyPaste is free software under the GNU AGPL-3.0. The source is public: you can read exactly what it does with your clipboard rather than taking our word for it. That matters more than usual for an app in this category.

Bugs, questions, and "it doesn't work on my network" reports all go to support@anypaste.app. We read everything; there are only two of us, so replies can take a few days.
